Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

The Innocents was at first banned from the SCCC Spring Art Show. Then after press coverage it was allowed in. I wondered if "Dare to Be Bare in a Big Green Chair" would meet a similar fate because at the most recent meeting of Schenectady Art Society it sounded as if the same person would be vetting the art and there were still no guidelines. First I thought I'd just take a landscape. Then one member said after the meeting that we should not "roll over" and should challenge the outdated judgments even though it is unclear how they come about.. (It is an all member show so to exclude any work is peculiar to say the least.) Finally I decided to make a point by dressing my nude so that she is ready to go to the Fall Art Show.
Betty Pieper received her first set of oils at the age of ten and has been painting ever since. Her work has been selected by prominent jurors for prestigious regional and national exhibitions and is owned by people throughout the country. Before the age of five, Betty had lived on Dean Street in Brooklyn, on Forsythe Street in Manhattan, on an estate in Westchester county, and with her grandparents in rural New York. She watched her father build their house nearby only to sell it and announce a move to California. In San Bernardino she lived in a trailer park and later in a rural farmhouse without running water, then in an historic mansion with an Indian cellar.
