I went staight to your work after getting a comment on my Elzbieta Zemaitis site. You have a stunning array of work that to me demonstrates both freshness and ease informed by a good sense of design. Maybe you come by some of it from your father - and I'm guessing also from the second graders. I used to love to let them finger paint huge tables in the cafeteria and then pull prints. Trouble is the tempora we used then didn't have 'archival' qualities.

Betty, This is another of your MANY wonderful paintings. Have added you to my watch list. Will come back soon. It is getting late and I need to get off the computer for now. Thank you for you kind comments about my "Waves and Scales" painting. It was a partial view. To answer your q. : I simply laid the painting on the scanner and scanned it. Thanks for asking! That was a good question. Good wishes to you always. F/V

About Betty Pieper

Betty Pieper

Betty Pieper received her first set of oils at the age of ten and has been painting ever since. Her work has been selected by prominent jurors for prestigious regional and national exhibitions and is owned by people throughout the country. Before the age of five, Betty had lived on Dean Street in Brooklyn, on Forsythe Street in Manhattan, on an estate in Westchester county, and with her grandparents in rural New York. She watched her father build their house nearby only to sell it and announce a move to California. In San Bernardino she lived in a trailer park and later in a rural farmhouse without running water, then in an historic mansion with an Indian cellar. How did this itinerant childhood influence her art? "I learned...
