Betty Pieper received her first set of oils at the age of ten and has been painting ever since. Her work has been selected by prominent jurors for prestigious regional and national exhibitions and is owned by people throughout the country. Before the age of five, Betty had lived on Dean Street in Brooklyn, on Forsythe Street in Manhattan, on an estate in Westchester county, and with her grandparents in rural New York. Thanks, Alfred. I like that you appreciate the "semi abstract because t always long to be able to one day just stop while the work is completely non objective. In this case it turned into a composite of so many fishing and seafood shacks along our coast in the northeast on the Atlantic seaboard.

Nina Prommer
wonderful work - you have an awesome portfolio Betty!
Betty Pieper replied:
Thank you, Nina! I love trying for the best of both worlds....experimentation with no direction and pulling something personally representative out of the foray.

I haven't seen this one before. Love it lots.

Thanks, Ryan. You can see why when I'm working on something (this and the 'paw apostles') it is hard to say WHAT I'm working on because I don't know until I'm done because of the abstract division process I most often use. So I always get a surprise. Some more pleasant than others....Your enthusiasm and support are appreciated.

A Newy! Like it immensely Betty. Can appreciate the abstract form that overlays the piece. Has a freewill element to it as with a vibe of rebellion. The original is definitely priced too cheap!! As i believe a work from the awesome Betty Pieper is worth a lot lot more. F/L
