Betty Pieper received her first set of oils at the age of ten and has been painting ever since. I think some major newspaper would love to have you as a critic. I'm so glad you like this one....It was in danger of becoming another "canvas of a thousand faces" but after the last repaint I felt satisfied and haven't touched it since. Thank you, again.

This is such a wonderful striking painting Betty. It engages the eye in the dynamic of up close and distant in such an interesting way- big soft cozy organic shapes for far, and sharp edgy ones for near.Air and earth are beautifully unified, and although I feel the chill in the air and cold of the snow, the tones in the snow and mauve purple range is so gentle and warming. Sending love, Chana

Betty Pieper replied:
So nice to hear from you. I hung this in my foyer and it is wearing well so I think it is safe from further painting. My husband worries when I have exhibits hung that I'll go in with my brushes and paint for 'touch ups' and get taken out by security!
