Thanks, Viva....I love the river and while I thought this was a brighter version of the 'real' I now think it could be even more so...I'll likely paint some version til my dying day...I will treat myself to a visit to your site very soon. You are a talented woman...

Thank you, Denise. It took many layers to become satisfied...and feel as if it is the river that I know and love. As a little girl I felt the trees grew right out of the mucky shoreline and I hope this integrates that close relationship of trees and water.

Thank you! I am so likely to paint water blue that I went down to the river and said...this is brown...and olive...stop with the blue...I guess I finally got what I was trying for and it felt very intimate.
