This painting ended in particular fun because I ended with a quick, spontaneous swath of what a curator in NYC called my "distinctive markmaking". I know it sounds like kindergarten and it is almost as much fun. It takes minutes after days of painting. I always go right to left and bottom to top in circling the canvas for the final strokes. A certain freedom comes from a different approach to making marks. I welcome your comments...
