Title
Moon and Lagune
Artist
Betty Pieper
Medium
Painting - Acrylic Media On Paper
Description
While I started non-objective (my general approach) I found myself quickly
enveloped in a dark, moonlit lagoon perhaps surrounded by tropical white sands and long spent volcanoes. I ended up popping a moon in the sky to complete my fantasy. Original comes matted and I hope some romantic soul will enjoy it.
The reality is that the buyer pays postage but I take care in shipping.

Thanks so much. Such fun whene something emerges that all of a sudden looks like a "keeper".

Thanks, Sorin. I like the intricacies of the work because it let's me "be any where" in my imagination. "Interesting and fascinating" are high praise which I accept with gratitude.

Betty, This is so amazing, beautiful and filled with great designs & colors. Thanks for your comments about my father's painting of Mabry Mill. Happy Thanksgiving. L/F P.S. I'll return soon to comment upon some of your other outstanding work. They could all be favorites. Smiles, Anne L/F
Betty Pieper replied:
I loved that you honored him on your site that way and as I said loved the masses, layers and intricacies of the bridge against the placid waters and so on. Not many realistic paintings have such features. Thanks for the L/F!

The colors and their flow are beautiful here. Don't know if the forms helped organize them or not. The color with your loop de loop abstraction magnetized me immediately to this gem.
Betty Pieper replied:
Still not as fascinating as some of your work, I think...but I finally liked it well enough to put it in a frame! Thanks for your comment.

Happy you popped a moon in the sky, Betty! I love semi abstract, it still leaves so much freedom for the viewer. Great use of colors and texture!! I feel the wandering child in your work, very expressive! V&F, May Ling.
Betty Pieper replied:
Thank you, My Ling. That is such an interesting observation and not surprising since you are perhaps a kindred soul. Love your work and yes abstraction.
