Thank you, Chana. I love that you are doing trees as well. A few years back I was determined to build my own coffin of simple pine from a tree that grew on the same hillside that I have grown old on but I could not bear to take a living tree down. Right now it is so green around here that I identify with what Georgia OKeefe said of Lake George near by.....the green can almost hurts your eyes.

More on this Betty. This is where I really see you being likened to Georgia OKeefe. So wonderful this painting. How I love your tree masterpiecesl/f

Thank you, Ryan. The reason I've chosen three shades of green for the walls of my studio area is that I'm thinking to do leaves, vines, and berries...something like that on the walls. (Can't afford those big linen canvases anymore so the walls are next best!) Maybe your nice comment will give me the nudge and courage to attack them. You do see where this 'paint' thing can take you if you get really into it, right?

A beautifully detailed and intricate piece Betty. Very immersing in the way the colours and shapes flow from top to the bottom corners. Captivating and well done!

Thanks so much, Chana. High praise indeed and much appreciated. This was the front piece for a solo show at a community college that brings cutting edge, world class exhibits to our rural "neck of the woods". The exhibit was the series "It's My Life"...under Elzbieta Zemaitis on FAA...and was well attended by state level folk as well as students and 4 H clubs. I felt privileged to express Family in that way.

Must add on. I believe this is a GREAT painting, something if I saw it at the MOMA etc woud grab me and be a favorite I would return and seek out. So many details, so expressive of the theme, so many accomplished artistic nuances.I also love that it is large, something one can sink their eyes into. Bravo Betty!

Another outstanding work I hadn't seen before Betty. The blue is divine, using it as ground is stunning. like/fav

You are without a doubt, and have always been focused on FAMILY. Love you

Betty Pieper replied:

Likewise on all counts. Thanks, Heather.

very appealing work betty

Betty Pieper replied:

I'm glad you like it, Van. It was fun to paint... just so easy to be fanciful with a traditional subject and one that symbolizes my focus on family over the generations.
