Someone snapped a photo of our daughter, a singer songwriter, as she was
applying make-up for a performance in Nashville. It was a peek 'behind the scenes'.
Betty Pieper received her first set of oils at the age of ten and has been painting ever since. Her work has been selected by prominent jurors for prestigious regional and national exhibitions and is owned by people throughout the country. Before the age of five, Betty had lived on Dean Street in Brooklyn, on Forsythe Street in Manhattan, on an estate in Westchester county, and with her grandparents in rural New York. She watched her father build their house nearby only to sell it and announce a move to California. In San Bernardino she lived in a trailer park and later in a rural farmhouse without running water, then in an historic mansion with an Indian cellar. Yes it is a garden with shared dirt and lots of great memories! The newest garden is Betty's An Artist it has daylilies like Art Student, Creative Art, Sanford Art Impressionist......it has azaleas, and I am going to add native ornamental grasses, a wisteria, and some species "tiger lilies" for that wild weedy look LOL

Love the subject matter and the colors in this one! I wish I could see to put mascara on without my glasses...but I guess plants really don't care and if you were to see me out there I look like I am 5 playing in mud with it everywhere!
