Description
A canvas had been occupying one of my easels for months - not speaking to me. Finally, it cried out for attention, light and substance. An hour later, after some exuberant brush weilding, I liked it enough to pronounce it finished. This reminds me of the tiny 'cabins' people built in the woods to replace their tents. They often used structures (windows/doors) from condemned city dwellings. The piece represents the free wheeling painting that I love to do where representational matter integrates with abstraction across the full surface.

This piece is a bit "quaint" as you say...I was surprised when it was accepted in a nationally juried show a couple of years ago. No, no big bucks....I haven't cashed a $90 check for 3 months while I decide is it for paint or more canvas.... I wish you well too with your fine work...I was mesmerized with the texture and nuances of value you picked up in the mummy wrap with one photo.
