What a wonderful compliment. I would not have thought of the O'Keefe connection, but my mentor Sal Cascio (dean of 'water color') said I could be another O'Keefe during the days he saw me paint a lot...and the days when I did more abstract work. I myself spend a lot of a vacation around her former ranch. In some ways is seemed desolate and ordinary but very quiet and spiritual...as I felt in Zion.

So beautiful Betty. Can't believe there aren't already a page of comments. Has an O'Keefe feeling, but the water feels so wet and inviting, it has more aliveness, tangibility. (Spent much time at the retrospective of her work at the Whitney in 2009). v f
