Description
This is a painting I loved doing. Obviously the reflections are not realistic. Innovating and creating my own designs are what make painting fun for me. As with life the details make a difference but it is the whole that matters most. The original went to good people and a good home, not in the southwest, but in Saratoga Springs!

What insight you offered...not sure what to do with it yet...I am/was a hyperactive child. I'm sure I would have driven my teachers crazy except I could focus when drawing constantly during classes and they learned to be OK with it since I was an A student. Painting is for me a frenzy, a delight and a great and deep relaxation all at once. So glad it found me.

Hello Betty, Thank you for your compliments on my work. But first of all, your bio reads like a briefing of a story on the go, while your paintings have a more relaxing feeling in them. Above all, I like your Near Sedona for its bold and dramatic stage designing effect. Good work, Zois Shuttie

Thank you, John. I love your photos of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon area. In fact, you have an enviable portfolio and seem deeply connected to many places on this earth. I can relate!

Thank you, Dawn. I don't do detailed sketching prefering to paint, not draw. But I remember when I did a gross sketch of this area I thought I made the one formation look like a hand. When I painted later, I thought, "Fine. The hand of God". Your deep connection to our earth is fully discernible in your work!

Beautiful! I love the colors and the water reflections -- even though you say they came from your imagination. Having lived in Navajo country as a teen I remember times when the canyons ran with water and waterfalls fell from the rim. The desert can be suprising. This brings back such memories! Well done!
