Title
Beach in August
Artist
Betty Pieper
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
My idea of a holiday includes 'beach time' any time and any where. While this
is a composite, it was definitely Atlantic City I had in mind as I painted! The original painting inlcudes a modern gold toned metal frame.

Thank you, Carole. I have envied your own ability to combine skillful technique and great design for an emotional response to the everyday! So it means a lot that you like this work.

Thank you so much, Nora. Our summer here in N.Y. has been hot and humid...just the kind where I for ocean going. I love the water and often get whistled at...NOT for being pretty...but for swimming out too far...and I also love watching all the people and activities on the beach.

This motivates me to get the gardens in shape so I can at least SEE the beach this year.... the sand beach looks inviting and I love all the bright summer colors--very inviting!
Betty Pieper replied:
You are certainly well situated for the Delaware Bay, the ocean, and all those rivers, streams and outlets! You'll have a great time between the garden dirt and the water all around..

I love the colors and warmth of this painting.
Betty Pieper replied:
Thanks! Everytime I see the A.C. scene in my mind's eye I always think the painting needs skywriting or planes pulling advertising....I decided not to do that in this one.
